BOSTON, M.A.. – Alexander Graham Bell made the first successful telephone call ever in history using his own patented invention – the telephone. Bell “called” his assistant Mr. Watson by speaking into the device’s receiver with the words: “Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.”
Before Watson could respond, Bell’s teenage daughter picked up another line and groaned:
“Ughhh, Daaaaad! Get off the phone! I NEED to call my frieeeends!”
